International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD) is celebrated on the 15th of February each year.
The primary message of the 2023 ICCD is:
Better Survival is achievable #ThroughTheirHands.
At Ain Society Young Heroes Cancer Care, we support children who are diagnosed with cancer through their journey with cancer.
Here, we present to you paintings done by those affected with childhood cancer.

Captain Adam
This is Captain Adam. Adam is our hero. He can't tell us what he likes but we think he likes to see the rainbow.
The sun is at the back of his head cause if not it's too shiny for his eyes to see the rainbow.
Alya and Aisyah, Adam's twin sisters. Adam was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 6 years old. Adam is actively undergoing physio to gain his mobility.


Cat woman
"Cats depend on me to feed them, I depend on them to keep myself going with life, but they will never know that. With the right catitude, anything is pawsible"
Puteri, aged 20,
diagnosed with thyroid cancer.


Superman
I want to be superman to help everyone. When I was sick, a lot of people helped me and I feel so loved. Especially my mum. My mum helped me a lot. Thank u Ummi.
Mujahid, 11,
diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma.
He had a tumor in his leg and had to wear a leg brace for a few months.


Positive Vibe
Words that he repeated as a mantra in his head to keep life going.
Family of Amirul Afiq, 19 years old, cancer survivor
Amirul works to support his family and continue to think positively and does not want his illness to define him.


Serenity
It's like...a new beginning for her. Now everything is peaceful.
Painting by Mr Ali, father to late Siti Hafshah.
Siti passed on due to osteosarcoma. When Siti was around, the father-daughter duo used to paint a lot together. Now her father finds solace in painting sceneries in remembrance of his daughter.


Family
My family is everything and I love them so much. I cannot go through cancer without them. I was so sad when I lost my hair. Then my dad also shaved his hair, so that I dont feel all alone.
Adilah, 14 years old,

Sometimes Im bad and sometimes Im good. Sometimes like Spiderman, sometimes venom.
Haris, 6 years old, brother to Asfa . Asfa was diagnosed with leukemia.Haris is very close to Asfa and accompanies his sister for programs.

People help me a lot and I really wish one day, when I can walk, I can help people. Like Batman. And play with children. I love children.

Strength
The Wakanda spirit gave me strength to fight my own battle with cancer and never give up to live life to the fullest.

recovered, had a relapse and recovering.


Through your hands!
Handprints of late Siti Hafshah and her family. The family supported Hafshah throughout and never once left her side. They were the strength that kept her going until her last breath.
